Community Connectivity
Community Connectivity refers to the ability of community members to connect in person and online. Research shows that people with strong social connections to others report higher overall happiness. These connections provide a sense of belonging, help create social support networks, enhance mental health, and contribute to a shared understanding of community identity. Connections are vital in building a strong, vibrant, and resilient community.

Public Good Facebook Pages
One way people stay connected and informed about what is happening in the community is through Facebook. Facebook provides an online platform to connect with people they know worldwide. It also allows you to build an online community based on shared hobbies and interests. It can be a way for people not physically close to others (like in rural areas) to find community and connection with others online. Bulloch County has 179 public good Facebook pages per 10,000 people.

Statesboro Area Transit
Statesboro Area Transit operates two bus routes with over 30 stops throughout the city, providing vital transportation connectivity for residents. SAT allows people without reliable transportation to access shopping, healthcare, community events, and more. The ridership of SAT has increased month over month since it began, and is looking at ways to expand service and increase the number of buses. Currently the bus service operates Monday- Friday from 6:00am to 6:00pm. The fare is $1 for a one way trip and $2 for roundtrip. There are discounted rates available for senior, students, and those with disabilities. You can obtain a discount card by visiting the engineering department at City Hall (50 E Main St.).
You can now use Google Maps to plan your trip with SAT. It will provide you will the route to get to the bus stop along with pick up times and estimated arrival at your destination.
